Add each job you did (employer, postcode, dates, full or part time) and see straight away how many days count towards your 88 days (second visa) or your 179 days (third visa), how many are left, and when you could finish.
Add your first payslip below: employer, postcode and dates.
Counting follows the Home Affairs method: full time (5 days a week or more) counts every calendar day of the period, weekends included; part time counts in proportion (e.g. 3 days a week = 3/5). The work must be paid at the legal rate and done in an eligible postcode. This is an estimate, not an official decision.
How the days are counted
- Full time: every calendar day of your work period counts, weekends included.
- Part time: it counts in proportion: 3 days a week for 10 weeks is worth 6 weeks of full time.
- Several jobs: add one period per job or employer, they add up.
- Piece rate: it counts like any other job if you have a signed piecework agreement.
- Eligible postcode: the work site must be in an eligible area for your visa (417 or 462).
- Paid properly: unpaid work doesn’t count (except disaster recovery volunteering).
