How backpackers use it

  1. Choose a regionCheck the season on our harvest map and make sure the postcode counts with the postcode checker.
  2. Make a listOpen the map, filter by crop and write down 15 to 20 farms, hostels and agencies.
  3. Call, then call backCall early in the morning. If they say “not yet”, ask when the season starts and call back then.
  4. Go in personWith a car, visiting farms directly is often the fastest way to get hired.
🤝 What WikiFarms is, and isn’t

WikiFarms is a directory of contacts, not a job board or a recruitment agency. Farms on the map aren’t necessarily hiring today: most hire seasonally, often at short notice. We don’t hire workers or send applications for you. What the app gives you is the list of who to contact, in every region, at the right time.

Why isn’t it free?

WikiFarms is made by a small independent team. You pay once: no subscription and no ads. That money pays for checking and updating the listings, adding new farms and keeping the app running, instead of selling your data or filling the screen with ads.

Good to know

  • Language: the app is in English, but it is mostly a map with names, crops and phone numbers, so it is easy to use with basic English.
  • Internet: the map needs mobile data or Wi-Fi. Signal is weak in many farm areas, so note the numbers before you drive out.
  • New phone: your purchase is linked to your Apple ID or Google account. Download it again with the same account and you won’t pay twice.
  • Wrong or missing farm? Tell us at info.wikifarms@gmail.com or suggest a farm from the app. Every listing is checked by the team.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) and Google Play, as for any app.
🧮 Also from us: the 88 Days Calculator

Our second app is completely free: log your work days and see how far you are from your 88 days (second visa) or 179 days (third visa). App Store · Google Play
